Tights In New York, Seriously? (New York – October 1st, 2009)
Is this stylish? It certainly looks good, but is it stylish? What is style anyway? Is it taking the time to make sure you look good when you wear tights? There’s a part of me that wanted to not post this because it looks thrown together at the last moment. Then again, if it was thrown together, who ever did it was good. This looks great. It manages to look casual and yet neat all at the same time. You know what? Screw it. This site is all about not giving in to some magazine’s stupid fashion sense and instead showing you all how great ordinary people can look. This woman looks beautiful and I’m going to tell the whole world about her.

Fashion Has Layers (New York – September 28th, 2009)
So, what do you think? Too many layers here or just right? My first thought was too many but then I took a closer look and things are really working here. It seems sort of disconnected at first and yet it really grows on you. I love the boots, skirt and shirt with their casual look and soft colors and then that shawl just brings it all out perfectly. I never would have thought that those colors go together but somehow they really do. Well, just goes to show what I know. Either way, great look here. Way to define your own style without following the crowd!

Unique Style For The Win! (New York – September 26th, 2009)

Editor’s Note – Today’s look is a bit delayed. I wish I had a good reason like I was out at some huge party and there was dancing and I drank too much and woke up in Tijuana wearing nothing but a catcher’s mask. However, the truth is that I pulled my back last week and spent most of yesterday lying in bed and feeling sorry for myself. Mea Culpa. Don’t hate me because I feel bad enough already. When did I get old?!?!
Anyway! I love this look. It’s totally unique and looks great. Well, I love this look except for the price but more on that later. This look has everything; sexy skirt, lovely blouse, stylish jacket and eye catching shoes (even if I still can’t decide if they’re boots or whatnot). This kind of look is really what New York is all about for me, stylish, sexy and unique.
My only problem with it is the price of the jacket. $2000?!?! Really? There’s a part of me that winces at this price, especially since she looks so good that I can easily imagine her looking good in almost anything. However, I have to admit, it’s a great looking jacket. Still, is $2000 of great looking?
This look comes to us from Mercer & Prince streets in Soho (Soho! That explains it!) courtesy of Lee Satkowski Photography.
- Jacket: “Libertine”, $1500-2500 (oof!)
- Purse: “Betsy Johnson”, $250-350

That’s one expensive look!
