Beautiful Moms Wear Scarves! (Wichita Fashion – August 28th, 2009)
Well, maybe not all beautiful moms wear scarves but this one does. Check this out. Normally, if I saw khaki shorts and a white top I’d think “meh!” which is my way of saying “whatever!” However, all it takes is a little touch of color and style, like a blue scarf, and this outfit transforms from a “meh!” to a cute little number that looks both stylish and comfortable. And yay, no strappy sandals!!! (thank you Wichita)

- Baby – Do I really need to tell you where babies come from?
When she starts coordinating her clothes with the baby’s, that’s when she’s gone too far.

It’s Shorts Time In Texas! (Dallas – August 24th, 2009)
Shorts are usually considered the opposite of fashionable. They’re supposed to be something casual that you throw on for when you need to take the dog to the park or the kids to school. And yet, shorts can actually look quite good. Take our this look from Dallas. It’s very simple, very appropriate for the heat in Texas and yet very stylish. It works especially well because her tank top is a bit more than just a simple tank and her sandals are a bit more than just simple flip flops. In other words, she’s wearing a casual shorts and tank top outfit, but she went just a little bit further and that makes the difference.
- Shirt is from Anthropologie and cost $30. Love it by the way, great piece, very flexible with how you can wear it. I can see this working really well on something a bit less casual.
- Shorts are from Madewell and cost $12. Great price.
- Shoes are from Nordstroms and cost $30. To be honest, I’m really starting to hope strappy sandal season is behind us, but that’s just me!
Just more proof that style doesn’t have to be uncomfortable and that comfortable summer outfits don’t have to lack style.

See Through Goodness! (Los Angeles – August 5th, 2009)
Can a see through top be casual and fun? Heck yah! Just check out our girl here in a vintage top with jeans shorts and casual shoes. I don’t think this would work without a good dose of attitude, but luckily, she’s got that too. I have to say, this really manages to to be sexy without being too sexy. Does that make ANY sense? Oh well, it does to me! Side note, the top, which is absolutely gorgeous, came from a vintage store in Virginia. You have to wonder who bought this in Virginia and then got rid of it.

The items came from:
- Shorts were purchased at Slow on Melrose for $45
- Top was found in Virginia at a vintage store for $14
- Chooe Shoes were found at Wasteland for $65
Best part about the outfit? “It keeps me cool on a hot day without making me feel frumpy or too casual.” I think it keeps her hot, but that’s just me!
