Can you submit your own photos to Look A Day?

Absolutely.  If you have an outfit that you think looks good, please send in photos and information to the following address: photos@lookaday.com.  Please note that by sending this this information you are releasing your rights to the photos to Look A Day as specified in the release below.  Also, if you want your photos to have a chance of being published, please note the following:

  • We will NOT list your name or contact info.  Our apologies, but Look A Day is not intended as the launch pad for your modeling career.
  • We will NOT publish any photos that contain nudity.  Sorry, we’re not that kind of site.
  • Please send at least 3 photos of you in this outfit.  Multiple angles are good.  If there’s a specific cool accessory like a bracelet or a belt, we suggest that you include a close up of it.
  • Please send in some information about the clothes you’re wearing.  Specifically, we would like to know what brand names they are, where you bought them and how much they cost.  If you could also add a sentence or two about why you like the outfit, that would be even better.
  • Somewhere in the photos, please include a small sign with “Look A Day” written on it.  Why do we do this?  Because if we don’t people will start sending us photos of other folks.  By including the little sign, we know it’s you sending us the photos and that you intended to send them.

Do You Pay For Photos?

Nope, sorry.

So Why Should I Submit Them?

So you can tell your friends you’re an international fashion model?  I don’t know, why do people submit reviews to Yelp or pictures to Flickr?  Do it because you’re proud of how you look.  Do it because you want to show other people that it’s possible to look good without being a supermodel with a crew of 20 and a wardrobe budget of $100,000 a day.  Do it because you like Look A Day and want to support the site.  Whatever it is, just do it!

Can I submit someone else’s photos?

No.  Look A Day will only accept your own photos.  Any photos submitted without proper authorization will be immediately removed.

I see a photo of myself on the site but I didn’t submit it.  What should I do?

Please contact us at info@lookaday.com and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

You Mentioned Something About A Release Form?

Yes, here it is.  If you’re going to submit a picture, it would be really neat if you could sign, scan and attach this release form to your message, but hey, we understand that not everyone can do that.  At the very least, please include somewhere in your message the fact that you read and understand this release form.

I, the undersigned, having full authority to execute this Release on behalf of myself and my Company, for good and valuable consideration, grant Look A Day, Inc. (“Look A Day”), its agents, employees, licensees and assigns the right to use, adapt, modify, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform and/or display, in any form now known or later developed, the Materials specified in this Release throughout the world, and/or by incorporating such Materials into one or more works and/or advertising and promotional materials relating thereto.

I waive any and all moral rights I may have in the Materials.

I waive any right to inspect or approve any works that may be created containing the Materials.

I understand and agree that Look A Day is and shall be the exclusive owner of all right, title and interest, including copyright, in the Materials, and any advertising or promotional materials containing the Materials, except as to preexisting rights in any of the Materials, which I have made Look A Day aware of, released here under.

I am of full legal age and have read this Release and am fully familiar with its contents.
